Defining Beauty

While we’d all like to #slayallday with glitter lips, cut creases and Instagram brows, these trends aren’t always necessarily wearable. The insane talent floating around on Instagram amazes me, but I definitely see how the content could be overwhelming to someone who isn’t a trained makeup artist, who just wants some beauty motivation to start their day. Some days we might be lucky to make it out of the house with two matching socks on, and that’s OK.

While I love to share pictures of my makeup, these pictures reflect me in my most glamorous moments.  Do I look like my Instagram profile picture everyday? No. Do I want to? Certainly not. Some days, I can’t get home fast enough to take off my false lashes and matte lipstick. On other days, I don’t wear any makeup at all [gasp].

In case you were wondering, druzy is the glittering effect of tiny crystals over top a colorful gem. The idea behind Druzy Beauty is that we are all beautiful in our unique, individual ways, but that doesn’t mean we don’t like to add some glitz and glamour every now and then. It’s fun to feel glamorous. But, we also have to embrace that glamorous means something different to everyone. My idea of glam might be rhinestones on my eyebrows (I’ve never actually done this, but hey), while yours might be actually wearing eye makeup for a change. Does that mean that my way is any better than yours? No, because  we all approach beauty in different ways. There is no right or wrong – that’s what makes it fun! So, since you’re already a gem, follow me and let’s get druzy.
